She studied at the Conservatorio di Musica di Perugia where obteined her Master in Percussion Performance. Contemporary she had her Master Degree in Civil Engineering at the Università degli Studi di Perugia. She continued her studies with Leigh Howard Stevens, Ney Rosauro, Emmanuel Sejourneè, Maurizio Ben Omar, Stefano Cantarelli and, at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, with Olli-Pekka Martikainen, Sami Koskela and Antti Rislakki. Laura is a Tetraktis Percussion  member since their coming together in 1993 Tetraktis has been acknowledged as one of the most brilliant, innovative and forward-looking Italian percussion ensemble, in 2013 they recorded for DECCA label. In 2014 she is one of the founder members of the Ensemble Suono Giallo, this group si devoted to research and news music, it  proposes to divulge and promote contemporary music through new commissions, concerts, and insightful initiatives. Her chamber music projects are various and concern from baroque to contemporary music. She works with Accademia Barocca Willelm Hermans and with the ensemble Ludus Gravis (in 2009 recorded for Wergo Records). She plays also with Nyky Ensemble and SE Ensemble (Finland).Collaborations: Stefano Scodanibbio, Butch Morris, Alessandro Carbonare, Ramberto Ciammarughi, Jonathan Williams, Edison Studio,Alessio Allegrini. In her activity as a percussionist in orchestras she plays with: Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Parma (tourneè in Beijing - NCPA and Bilbao - Palacio Euscalduna), Orchestra Sinfonia Veneta, Orchestra Sinfonica di Perugia e dell’Umbria, Orchestra Sinfonica di Terni, Camerata Strumentale Città di Prato, Orchestra dell’Università degli Studi di Perugia,Billi Brass Ensemble, Orchestra Filarmonica del Centro Italia. And also Musicians for Human Rights, United Artists for Peace Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra del Royal Northern College of Music Manchester, Sibelius Academy  Symphony Orchestra. She recorded for the labels: Wergo, Decca, Brilliant Classic, A Simple Lunch, Quadrivium, Cemat. In vanguard theather music she works with Emilia Romagna Teatro and China National Peking Opera Company. Laura Mancini was born in 1984 in Città di Castello and she’s living in Perugia.
